Local guide

Things to do in Jacó, Costa Rica.

An honest list — what's worth your time, what's easy to book from the condo, and what you might actually skip.

Jacó from above — the beach, the town, and the surrounding hills

Surf a beginner-friendly break

Jacó Beach is one of the easiest waves in Costa Rica to learn on — soft-bottom, long lines, board rentals on the sand. Ask the concierge to line up a lesson and they'll come to the building.

Manuel Antonio day trip

About 90 minutes south. Rainforest walks with sloths, monkeys, and toucans; a curved white-sand cove at the end of the trail. Go early, hire a naturalist guide at the gate.

Sunset catamaran off Herradura

Half-day charter from Los Sueños marina, snorkeling stop at Tortuga Island, cocktails and sunset on the way back. Fine for kids and easy on non-boat people.

Zipline & waterfall in the hills

Twenty minutes inland. A morning of platforms through the canopy, a rappel down a waterfall if you want it, back to the condo for lunch.

Eat your way through town

Graffiti (creative small plates), Green Room (vegetarian and salads), El Barco (mariscos), Tacobar (breakfast), Rioasis (fresh juices). Central Jacó has range — much more than a beach town usually does.

Do less

A morning at the pool, a walk on the beach, a nap, a swim. That's a valid Costa Rica day too, and the terrace is designed for it.

Let the concierge book it.

Every tour above can be arranged before you land. No standing in line at a booth on the beach.
